deleting downloads

I am unable to delete a substantial number of downloads. It states the file may be in use by another program. It is not. How do I delete these files?

If you don't have some sort of media player open at the same time, you need to delete your files in the Finder and if you still have problems briefly quit LimeWire to delete the files.
