how to burn a cd You have several different options depending on what type of software you have and what OS you are running. I have been bruning CD's for a couple of years and would be happy to help, but I need more info from you. please post again with what CD writer you have, what software you have for writing CD's and what OS you have. you can send me a private email to jaysimac@yahoo.com or post a reply here. You're smarter than you think--you got yourself a Mac. MP3s have to be "extracted" to play on CD. Check your burning software to see how best to do this. Or go to versiontracker.com and pick up a shareware program for extraction, such as MPeggerDrop Decoder, then burn your new .aif files. If you have an MP3 player, you don't need to extract. (Keep in mind that your compressed MP3s will become uncompressed audio files once extracted and then take up much more disc space. Once burned, store the MP3s to play in iTunes and just trash the cumbersome .aif files.) Have fun. |
cd burning Hi everyone, I'm so glad to have found this question. I have downloaded about 40 songs over the past few months. I now boght a new iMac with a CD burner and assumed that it would have the appropriate software to burn the CD's. I now see that I was wrong, and that these songs must be altered or decoded. I checked for the MPEG decoder software on the site that one of you folks recommended, but I couldn't find it. Any suggestions as to what I can do now to burn these songs? Any help would be great. Thanks a lot. -Gary |
