Mactella vs. Phex vs. Limewire...hmmm

I gotta admit that as a newbie to the Gnutella Community and to Limewire, the network has taught me that sharing is actually a wonderful thing (totally opposite from when I was a kid and did not enjoy sharing toys and candy with others because of the finite qualities inherent in tangible material goods).

Alas, I digress.

Here is a topic of discussion which I'm sure is of interest to Newbies and may be a good opportunity for the seasoned users to teach us a thing or two.

Just what is the best software for sharing to go with for Mac users? I surmise that Limewire is the front runner but what about Phex and Mactella? What's good about them? What's bad? Are there other alternatives? Who offers reliable smart downloads for large files?
