put menus in menubar; sort results

I saw at one point a line of magic you could put into a config file in the Limewire directory to make LimeWire put its menus up on the Mac menubar. I happen to like this behavior. Does anyone recall this mumbleage?

This same trick would apply to any Mac version.

Second, in previous limewire versions, clicking on the title of a column in the results table would sort the results. This is very handy. For instance, I nearly always want to sort results by title alphabetically.

I can't seem to get this to work. Mac OS X 10.1.2, LW2.1.3.

Thank you, dedicated Limewire authors.

We'll almost definitely have the use of the Mac menu bar in there for all Mac versions for the next release. You also may see an option for "useScreenMenuBar," something like that, in your "limewire.lax" file. You should be able to set this to "true" to get the menu to appear at the top of the screen.

As far as the result sorting, this is sometimes tricky because it requires a fairly quick click -- it won't sort on, say, a mouse release. Are you sure that it will never sort with a click? I can look into this further on OSX as well.

Thanks very much!

You are right. To sort a column, you have to click quickly. It might take several tries.

Thanks.

Hey, glad to hear it. We might increase the time increment used to determine a "click" in the future so that it's a little easier.
