LW won't open
 

Down loaded and installed LW … It’s in application folder and the dock.(btw what is LW at login app?)When I try to open it by double clicking on the icon in dock....nothing…right click ask me if I want to force quit like it is open already open…. deleted it rebooted then re downloaded and installed ..same thing….??????

LW at login is if you want LW to automatically start when you log in to your user account.

For the startup problem, first see if Software Update is up to date.

I don't want it to log in at startup and I don't log in to my user account....

everything is up to date...still doesn't open....:bangh:

OK. Something is messed with your machine.
To start fresh, more info needed.

What version of OS X (Apple menu-> About this Mac) and LW are you using?

For your other concern about LW's auto login, try this:
To disable LW automatic login, go to Apple menu-> System Preferences, then select the System: Accounts part. Select the Login Items area, and if you see LW there, select it and use the (-)button to remove it.

btw--I was talking about you logging in to your Mac's user account, not some other account.

P.S. btw,,

I also have a CD disc stuck that won't eject...this is After the LW stuff.....on top of the output jack sounds like crap distorted ( I've messed with that too it doesn't help.)....and Garageband mysteriosly dissapeared and is no where to be found .....)beside that I love the Mini:tease:

This sounds like something is more messed with your system than it first seemed.

OK. Not sure what the hardware problem indicates. Probably needs to be fixed first.

Anyway, if there is a deeper problem with your system, a Safe Boot won't help, but can't hurt. Heh, might as well try the easiest fix first, right? Better than setting up a new OS X account, or reinstalling the system.

After the Safe Boot, run Software Update again.

What do i do to "help" it once in safe boot?just start up in safe boot then shutdown /startup again run software update again to see if it fixed anything?Tnaks for your help

j2se is java related. LW runs on java. I think you've found a likely reason LW won't run: it's missing an important java piece.

All these updates fix a problem, and some of the problems fixed may relate to your problem.

As for Security updates, the reasons for installing them should be clear.
