Default Some songs will download, but they won't show up in iTunes

Ok, so I've had this problem with some songs since I first download Limewire. It's not with all songs, just some. My computer got re-imaged recently, and I just re-downloaded Limewire, but the problem still occurs. The download will go fine, a Limewire playlist will appear in iTunes, but nothing will be in it. The song isn't in iTunes anywhere. I searchlight the song, it comes up, I click it to open it, and iTunes will open, but nothing else happens. Usually if I click on a song that's not in my library, it'll put it in. If it is, It'll go to that song. I don't know what's wrong, but it's been going on since I got Limewire. Again, this isn't with all songs, just some.

Thanks for your help!

EDIT: btw, I have a MacBook. I got it in 2006.

Could be a few reasons. Perhaps the song is an mp3pro format file, which iTunes does not have ability to play or import. The song could be corrupt/fake as many of those are spammed on the network unfortunately.

You can check the Recently Added playlist to check if in there. Also, to check if the file is a good file, try playing it with an alternative player such as one of these: (a) ToolPlayer, ___ (b) Switch Audio Converter (more of a converter but also a handy player), ___ (c) Audion.
These 3 audio players can play many more audio formats than iTunes can, especially the first two.
