Can't open LimeWire Doc/Tried MP3 Rage I tried the MP3 Rage thing and it worked on a couple of small files but when I tried it on an 87 MB application file it didn't do a thing. The file remains a LimeWire doc. Can anyone help me open this file. Thanks. |
so, I went to look for MP3 Rage, and it turned out to be OS 9 and higher. sad thing is i'm running OS 8.5... and of course those dear limewire documents remain impossible to open... is there any alternative? |
I don´t know where is the problem here? These are NO Limewire documents! These are files that you download from a user like you and me... Limewire is only the CLIENT!!! Which format have these files? Perhaps you need only an other tool to open it? Normally ONLY files with .MP3 and .WAV are music files... Please describe your problem more detailed, perhaps we can help then! Morgwen  |
Limewire must be stumped THANKS to those who have tried to help, but the problem is still there. This thread has been alive for quite some time so I think even the folks at LIMEWIRE MUST BE STUMPED !!! I will still check back from time to time. Maybe someone else needs praise for their resume. God bless you who have narrow band access and spend an hour or better downloading a file, just to find you cant open it. Yep, it is sitting right there on your computer, but 'you can't touch this'. |
Tell my computer there is no such thing as a LimeWire Document I have been having the same problem with files turning into LimeWire documents, most are .sit files and when you click on them it opens up LimeWire app and nothing happens. I also tried the MP3 Rage thing it works on some files but not on all. Seems like there should be some way to open these files. Seems like the problem started when I upgraded to the latest version 2.3.3 of LimeWire. |
Try FileTyper. The trick is knowing what codes to enter. These threads (1, 2, 3) should have what you need. Sometimes the application that can open that type of file can do it if even the type and creator codes are wrong. Try dragging the files to the application that can open it or File:Open within the application. |
