whoa! Dissertation and you don't clarify "piracy"? Tsk. tsk. Errol Flynn was the best film pirate (apologies to Peerless), and though I have to assume you are talking about the Valenti definition of piracy, that is a term of art that has a different meaning in the courts of most western countries. I think you should edit your poll to specify that you want to know about downloading infringing material in a country whose laws currently make such downloading illegal. well, back in the last millenium you didn't ask questions like this. non-infringing video, I think, every once in a while. I prefer text I think I did once or twice, but it wasn't what I expected ??? Right? As in freedom of communication? Well, then, yes. If you mean that somebody else should pay for my internet equipment and connection, then no.
