I can't find much out about maVen: one is a java plug/xml. And 2ndly there's a bitorrent page that lists this: The.movie name.SVCD.TELESYNC-maVen
How large is the file, it sounds like it could be a torrent name?

[HL]Marcus October 18th, 2004 10:16 AM

1st thanks for the reply Lord of the Rings.
The file size is 700mb.
I already have searched the web for maVen but didnt find something helpfull

Did you check your file with GSpot or with AVIcodec ?

[HL]Marcus October 18th, 2004 12:02 PM

Have you tried VLC: http://www.videolan.org/ (at 1st I thought you were talking about a game.) What type of burner app do you have? Perhaps if it's a good quality one, you can add it & attempt to preview it or burn it to a cd-rw & try it out. VLC comes with its own codecs built in so it's fairly reliable (not the best interface & controls but it plays most things!) As far as codecs go there's also: http://www.free-codecs.com/

Rename it to .wav or .mp3 or .ogg and see what happens.
Or try to open it with WinRar or Isobuster

Do you have any file utility that'll tell you what the file's type & other info is? Get GSpot (a free program) that will identify the codec that you might need to play a certain file. Just open the file in GSpot and it will tell you. http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ This may/may not help but why not after all this. It's a handy tool to have anyway.

[HL]Marcus October 24th, 2004 01:19 PM

LOTR i have gspot but it cannot do much with the file.(fake)
just finished the third one opent it with gspot nothing.
