Federal Gov't. charging users

Just curious to know if there are any numbers/percentages/educated guesses on how many downloaders are actually charged for illegal downloading, compared to the number of users, the number of downloads, the platform the downloader uses, etc. Was talking to someone yesterday who said, "I'll keep doing it 'til somebody I know gets busted...well, somebody did, so I'm out of it". Also he said "You're safer if you don't share your files". When I suggested that if nobody shared their files, where would you download from, he had no answer...duh!! pbb

IMHO, you should get a Gnutella medal for that. Not many new people realise that.
And about the "I'll keep doing it 'til someone I know gets busted" part, what if you (I'm talking about your brilliant friend) are the one who gets busted? A little late to stop now isn't it?
