new super fast download system UseNext WARNING

If you use other download file sharing eg torrents, you might have seen the advert for UseNext swift download system. I have just given it a go, what I found is the following ;first it costs, you pay for super downloads in various monthly packages at so many giga bytes, the more Gs the higher the cost ' They explain about there system as a download newservice group for various files -one of which is video, there they use a PAR and RAR system of small package downloads to make up one big file which is supposed to play .I have a LAN player for torrents and 2 other excellent players for ordinary video and dvd,/the files did not play they in fact ran through all the players, leaving me searching both the programs FAQs and the web for a means of playing them . The best i got was a trial on WINRAR which is supposed to archive the files into a playable file. ;Again this did not happen the still did not register any playable file. For people that are new to file sharing and have a problem with gnutella this program would not be a good idea .Mainly i wanted the videos but was stuck with files that did not have the PAR or RAR format and would play. The program does give what it sez very fast downloads but the problem is not easy to solve about these files (or simple ), so please take care of buying time with this program if you can not handle the file problem .It might seem tempting to new users of file sharing but i believe it is possibly likely to cause them trouble and cost. bamfee

Usenext is a scam

Hi guys, excuse my newness but I'm just doing the rounds to the forums to spread the word on scam site - Usenext.

--------------

There's an employee out there defending them at every op so I thought I'd post some hard evidence proving they're a scam -

----------------

- I must first say to you all - Yes I did get the software, which was ok I guess... I did use it but cancelled as soon as I realised I was being charged -
------------------

I did sign up for the 14 day trial and they charged me about 1 hour later.

I have since emailed USENEXT 4 times - (nice long queue of 413 they had there!) with no reply given as yet except one basically avoiding the subject in question and giving me the run-around with no refund offered.

Go to: http://www.roadrider.com.au/usenext_is_a_scam

And you'll see the copies of all the emails I've sent them, the order I made and the receipt they sent me. And this all happened within 48 hours. I signed up, they charged me, I cancelled.

I notice they removed the comment about not charging people while on the 14 day free trial too.

Luckily I took a screen grab of that while it still existed to give to my bank. This can also be found at:
http://www.roadrider.com.au/usenext_is_a_scam

I have posted both screen grabs of my emails and what usenext scam site used to say.

I have very simple questions for them:

1. Why was I charged during the free trial when it says, in bold I will NOT be charged and you're saying you've never charged people??

2. Why did you remove that comment from the site?

3. Why have I not received a reply?

4. How do you live with yourself you slimy piece of cyber scum??

-----------------

Thank guys!

Hi usenext suck,
You might be interested to read this, a few people have successfully got refunds from scammers

Hope you've reported this to your bank/CC company & cancelled the transaction. Keep a watch on your statements, just to see that no more payments are taken out of your account.

:)

Hey thanks for that. I did get a response from the CEO trying to explain the whole thing (unsuccesfully in my mind). You can see it at:

Thanks for the advice!

There's a simple rule: If someone advertizes with Google for completely unrelated terms, also using the name of other vendors and further register domains that contain the names of other vendors then avoid them like the plaque because they're nothing but spammers. You don't buy from spammers, never, ever. When you check their site they're also using newspaper and magazine articles about the "Usenet" to fool people to think these articles refer to them. Well, they had to remove a couple of those since the last time to avoid getting sued for those false claims. They also put such bullshit as "100% legal" on their website as if that means whatever you download is legal or as if other P2P network were in any way illegal. This all big FUD and bullshit. Last but not least, they rip you off because they just provide access to binary Usenet groups which you can get for much less money. And by the way, they do have control about what you can download. So there service is much closer to being illegal than Gnutella, Bittorrent, edonkey etc.

By the way, there "14 days free" is also bullshit. You will have to pay in any case. Don't even think about getting your money back.

Actually I did get my money back.
