seems like a scam

I did a quick look, but couldn't find out who coded the client, so I became really cautious.

Then the FAQ at http://www.aimini.net/faq/amtc.html?cat=0 gave an error that "The requested URL /faq/amtc.html was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

Ouch.

If it is a scam, then it's a windows scam.

.... Imagine my huge dissapointment when I realized that it was not a Mac application :( :D

Also it appears to be a free scam??? Possibly it is loaded with spy ware etc, although it claims not to be. hmmm I don't know.

We mac users just have to make do with the few scraps we can get from limewire and phex:D :D :D

The link is working now there is a free trial no strings attached. I DL it ran it did a few searches nothing came up. Has a few pretty cool features but I did not take the time to mess around with it.

It appeared that most of the people running it are in the middle east. Only one in the US any way I uninstaled it did a spyware sweep with Microsoft nothing came up haven't done a virus scan yet or a boot scan, But Avast or Norton didn't pick anything up when I installed it. Thats all I can tell you for now.

I would be really careful with this software. It's possible that it contains a backdoor for spammers and it is very unlikely that any "Anti-Virus" software could detect a backdoor especially not in a P2P software which connects to everywhere and gets contacted from everywhere. There is a lot of link spamming going on the web (especially wikis and guestbooks) from random seemingly infected hosts. Such a software would be pretty perfect to hide a proxy backdoor in. Well, softpedia claims this software is 100% clean "which means it does not contain any form of malware, including but not limited to: spyware, viruses, trojans and backdoors." But this is really nonsense. Nobody can guarantee that. Even if they read the source which they did not, there can be well-placed "bugs" that can be exploited by the authors and which would be extremely hard to find by anyone else. Thus, two thumbs down to SoftPedia for claiming such dangerous nonsense.
By the way, the screenshot are pretty funny:

Note the ads in the first and "AddressGrabber Business" in the second.

Alright and now search for "Sergiy Voronenkov" with Google. You don't find much, but
what you find is nasty stuff.

I believe I've found an excellent BT Client: "Transmission". I obtained this gem from VersionTracker. Seek it out for the delight of both you and your Mac....
