utorrent @ college

Hello!

I just recently signed up to these forums and it looks pretty promising. So here leads to my question.

I am at college and I have been using uTorrent for about 2 years now and its been great ever since. Being behind this firewall at school though is no easy task. The download speeds are fine but I cannot upload anything and this will eventually lead to ruining my ratio for the site. I have tried programs like http tunneling but its extremely slow and its not free. Are there any programs out there that will enable me to forward my ports are at least let me upload.

Thanks :)

You are not in control of the school's ports, so answer is no.

A Fix for those whose ISP's block Limewire pages 1 - 3 which have links to alternative instructions does not apply directly to torrents but you could look into the methods of various types of proxies. Proxies, yes it is slow & unreliable. Might be your only option other than using the program at home or where you're living.
