Default Files Slow down and Connection dies

Ive been trying looking into this problem for days now but I cant seem to find exactly what the problem is. Ill list my specs and other symptoms.

1. OS version? Windows Vista Home Premium
2. What firewalls you have? EZ Armor Internet Security
3. How much ram? 2048 mb ddr2
4. Hard Disk space available? 90gb
5. Connection type? broadband
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Motorola Canopy Subscriber Module, Linksys WRT54GS v6 with DD-WRT v23 sp2 firmware
7. Where are you trying to connect from? Home...out in the country
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? LW V.4.12.11, Java SE Runtime 6 (newest one)
9. Who is your ISP provider? Kingston Online (Wireless)
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? It worked
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. No
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. Limewire worked for me on windows xp sp2 but hasnt worked since i got my new computer
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? yes

- My ISP send my signal wirelessly to my house and the modem is mounted on my antenna so I cant do anything with it.

-Limewire is allowed in my firewall and it has been set up for port forwarding in the router usinng portforward.com

-Had no issues with Xp Media Center but i cant remember if Limewire could detect a firewall on that computer.

- I can download a single small file like an mp3 but any large files give me problems. They are much slower than on XP (download at 4 kbps as oppsed to 80 before) and the speed also fluctuates a lot. It will peak and then slow and crash my internet connection and then restart.

- If I try other p2p programs or torrents its the same.

Thats all i can think of but let me know if there is anything I missed. Basically the only difference on my system is Vista and I cant seem to get this to work. Any thoughts are much appreciated.

Did you ever connect with your currnet set up, if so just double check that your port forwarded number is still the same in the listening port box and the manual port forward box in limewire...

Also try disabling your EZ Armor Internet Security and see if you can get a better result...

Are you running Vista security at all...It's not wise to run 2 at once....

Vista firewall is disabled. I had just installed EZ Armor today and was using Vista firewall before that. No change with either allowing limewire or being disabled. As far as connecting, I can get full green bars right away but just cant download at the right speeds if thtas what you are asking. Also, both ports are still the same.

Try doing a speedtest and tell me what you get....

Also try downloading a magnetlink and tell me what speed you get for that...

Ok, My speed test was 1467 kb/s download and 551 kb/s upload.

I downloaded "The Scene Episode 001" at 25-35 kbps and it took about 20 mins. My internet did not shut down this time.

Something is definatley blocking your speeds...
I'm a little confused about what you have put down for your speeds is the 1467 the kbps or the KB/s...
And I take it the 25 - 35 is KB/s not kbps...Could you just clear that up..

When you Port Forwarded your Router are you sure it worked properly and did you set up the static IP first ??
