Need Help With Uploading Song After Download Onto Itunes Using Vista

If someone can please help me this would be greatly appreciated.

I just bought new computer with Vista "Home Premium" edition. On the first download of basic limewire and after I upload a song the song will automatically go into my itunes library, no sweat.

HOWEVER,,,if I exit out of limewire and then go back in the song will download. BUT..WILL NOT THEN AUTOMATICALLY GO INTO ITUNES LIBRARY. INSTEAD,,THE SONG DOES NOT PLAY BUT RATHER GOES INTO SEPARATE LIBRARY ON ITUNES KNOWN AS "SCOTTS SHARED LIMEWIRE TUNES (or something like that) I then have to uninstall limewire, reinstall limewire and then the download will work as it should automatically going into my itunes library,,,,

If some one could be nice enough to give me some help would be thankful..

Thanks......

It always used to be that files wouldn't transfer automatically to the iTunes library for Windows users. Mac yes, Windows no. Windows users have always had to use other methods to add files to the iTunes library. Sounds like Vista is a bit different, since you said that you did get a song to automatically add to iTunes library:confused:

I don't use Vista, maybe another Vista user can shed some more light on that for you.

The "LimeWire Tunes" is just a playlist. It'll disappear once you've shut down LW & is no good for burning or adding to iPod.

If you disable iTunes sharing within LW's options, that playlist won't show up anymore. Maybe you could do that & then see whether files will automatically add to iTunes? I've got no idea if it will help, that was just a wild guess:o

I don't know whether you've seen this sticky, but it has a lot of info about adding to iTunes...might be useful.

Find your shared folder by selecting one of your files in your limewire library and selecting explore...
You should now have all your downloaded files in front of you...Open up itunes create a new playlist and drag and drop them in...;)
