My documents are gone!

Okay, I had my shared folder as My Documents. I decided to make a specific folder to put all my shared files for limewire in. So I made a folder and proceeded to change the shared folder. The program told me that my folder was changed. However, when I opened up the Limewire program, all of the files in my "My Documents" folder were still currently in my Library. Assuming that they were copied to the library before I changed folders, I tried to delete them out of the library. But when I opened my "My Documents" folder, they were gone as well. Can anybody explain why they were gone? And Did they go somewhere? If they did, how can I find them? They did not go to my recycling bin. So, where are they?

Use your computer's search to look for some of the file names. If they're not found, try one of the file recovery utilities here. I think a few people have had success using Restoration.

LW versions 4.13.0 onwards (Beta versions) send files to the recycle bin if they're deleted from LW's library. The latest Beta version is 4.13.2. If you're interested in trying it, you can download it from the usual LW download page.
