help please (connecting with Vista)
 
limewire was working fine, now cant get past currently connecting to network. tunes were downloading great now nothing, os is vista, firewall (norton) hasnt been altered. 2mb cache 80g hard drive. please help rookie user:shoot:

system details to help you help me
 
1)os is vista
2) norton and pc tools firewall plus
3) dont know how to find out how much free ram sorry
4)47.4gb free
5) broadband
6)smart ax mt 882
7) from house
8) lw 4 1 2 11 java 6 0 1 06
9)supplier is talk talk also pick up netgear wi-fi from another source, same problem exists
10) your test works appears
11) not sharing with anyone
12) new user successfully downloaded 144 tunes before it went **** up
13) brick wall appears in front of globe, however it did when i was downloading previously

hope this is of use to you any help greatly appreciated am not sure if im the problem but am not doing anything different to when it was working fine :bangh:

You problem is more than likely your ISP and they have picked you up on their radar for heavy usage...Talk Talk are known for shaping p2p...

1. You'll find TalkTalk here ISP's known to BLOCK or Filter p2p or specifically Limewire

2. It's Official - TalkTalk stopping P2P

still no connection
 
have disconnected from talk talk and am now currently using wireless picked up from a unsecured network listing netgear as provider !. have also took computer to friends house to connect same problem exists. have tried proxy servers all to no avail , currently connecting still appears. have tried uninstalling and reinstalling somebody please help

Who is your ISP now ?? and what modem/router are you using ??
