blue error screen

imy laptop is one week old and is displaying the dreaded bsod already the only things i installed before this started were 2 games and aol 9.0vr i have now tried 3 different regestry repair tools and a bunch of instructions from a self help site and still no joy. all anyone tells me is my limewire may be conflicting with a program or driver, in all honesty i've never heard of lime wire before and don't belive i've ever used it, in short i'm stumped.

my os is win vista home basic
amd mobile sepron 3400+
nvidia geforce go 6100

if their is any one out there with some help for me i'd be eternally greatful as this blue screen just makes me feel blond.........thanx in advance:)

oh and the bsod says driver irql not less or equal????????????????????

so what exactly makes people think LimeWire is conflicting with something if you've never heard of it before?...I mean really, is limewire the bane of existense so much that it MUST ALWAYS be the problems?

Bullsh!t....give me a damn break....

your error message is most always caused by a driver conflict, that's true...

you mention games you've installed, yet give not clue as to what they are...it is highly likely the are not compatible with Vista, as they were most likely released before Vista was...so, go to the manufacturer's websites and see if there are any updates needed to run said games with Vista...since your machine is only 2 weeks old, it is not likely that your PowerSupplyUnit is going bad, or your RAM, but is IS possible...

last thing I can think of is that your video card has faulty drivers (so what if they were supplied with the new computer) which could be solved by removing the existant drivers and installing ones directly from Nvidia's website..
