Its not that it shows things as connecting under the connections tab... there is literally nothing there at all. Anyone know how to fix this. I do not have a firewall of anykind... or a router. It worked fine when i had xp on my machine, but now that i got vista it just doesnt show any connections... help please!

Okay I've been tortured by this thing for days. HP Pavillion with Vista Home Premium, Zone Alarm - all irrelevant it turned out

Have tried everything - deleting prefs fodlers, turning firewalls off (Windows), removing firewalls (Zone Alarm), upgraded java, upgraded to LW Pro, Setting compatibility options, opening upnp on routers, allowing access to LW ports. All well intentioned advice but the McAfee/firewall thing especially is a red herring thinks me.

Finally I found a thread that worked. Took me a while but I worked down the big list of peers in the linked file (http://adsl.tdc.on.ca/peer_list.txt) and voila, I found one that worked.

Thank you XOWE
