Help! (connection with Vista)

I'm having so much trouble getting limewire to work with windows vista and I don't know why...there for awhile it would connect for a little bit then disconnect and its aggravating me, because limewire is the only program I like to download music and such from..can someone please help me or tell me of any other programs that will work with windows vista!?!
