I tried the first thing but unfortunately i don't have zone alarm pro so I couldn't find the options to change port forwarding.

The second thing I tried, got the static-ip, and then let it port forward.

The third I don't think i could quite do because my Modem is bridged. I'm not sure if that allows port forwarding.

Also I kept the port 6346 because when i tried to make a port over 10000 to 60000 limewire froze.

With my router allowing the port through i turned off zone alarm and tested to see if it would work but still it was at 1 bar still trying to connect...

Also I had the same sort of setup with my router/modem before and an older zonealarm and Limewire worked on windows XP. Could it be Vista or the new zonealarm?

I think from memory (don't quote me) but when your modem is bridged you don't have to port forward...

With the freezing try this..
Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....
Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

Once you have done that go back and try the Port Forwarding for your router and use one of the higher numbers eg.64049...

With ZoneAlarm, I'm a little unsure, another Vista user had trouble with their's as well, they ended up uninstalling it and using something else...

Another thing to look at as well is AT&T they are known for shaping p2p connections...
