hi everyone, i've been struggling with vista for a fair while now and have realised that to solve many of the problems it causes administrator privelages are needed to run the program. i know that most of you are probably thinking, "but i am the admin on my pc", or whatever but vista has a different way of seeing it

i had this same problem and only just recently thought it could be this same fault, so right click on your shortcut to limewire(or any other program) click properties, a window should open up with some tabs at the top.

go into the compatability tab, and near the bottom of the help box there is a check box with "run as an administrator". check this box and click apply and ok, then try to run it again.

hopefully this will work for you as it worked for me on the same problem, and as far as i know its just a bug with vista, yet to be resolved.
