Very well could be the reason..I'm not a Vista user, so I really don't know alot about the system...
I reckon post what you have just said over at the limewire.org forums...A couple of the developers frequent there..They may know what's going on....

alright I tried the peer gaurdian and the hostil list and nothing worked.
