My Vista and McAfee Solution worked

I was trying to run LW on Vista Home Premium and my internet connection crashed everytime I started LW. I also have McAfee Security Center running. After trying all recommendations w/o any luck. I searched and found the following fix for internet connection problems w/Vista and I'll be dammed it worked for me. I have LW & McAfee running as I type. Give it a try

  1. From the Windows Vista Start menu, click Network.
  2. In the Network window, click Network and Sharing Center.
  3. In the Network and Sharing Center window, click Manage network connections.
  4. In the Network Connections window, right-click the network connection you are trying to use (Wireless or Local Area Connection), and then click Properties.
  5. In the Properties dialog box, on the Networking tab, in the This connection uses the following items: area, click to clear check mark from Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6). Click OK.
  6. Shut down Windows, restart the computer, and then try connecting to the Internet.
Change the adapter settings for TCP/IPv4.
  1. In the Network Connections window, right-click the network connection you are trying to use (Wireless or Local Area Connection), and then click Properties.

We will have to troubleshoot our way through this...;)

Try Port Forwarding as your router has an inbuilt Nat Firewall...
These are your instructions...
Port Forwarding for the Belkin F5D7230-4

Let me know how that goes, even if the wall doesn't disappear, leave the port forward set up that you do...

Don't give up just yet, there are still a few more things to try...

Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....
Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

If that does not help with your problem try deleting your preference folder/s...This will reset your configurations back to default and get rid of any corruption that may of happened...;)
