Limewire not connecting no matter what I do

I just got my new Dell inspiron last week and wanted to put limewire on. This computer does have windows vista ultimate..I thought that wouldn't matter but I was wrong. It wont connect to limewire AT ALL even when I have zone alarm off, windows firewall off, windows defender off..I don't have macaffe at all but have avg running but that too I turned off and it STILL WONT CONNECT.
Anyone else have anything that I can try?
