Thumbs down LW freezes

Installed the latest version of Java, installed LW (basic) under Vista

When I start LW I cannot use or close the program however I can minimalize it with the "_". Harddisk is busy for about 10 min. when it stopped the situation didnt change.

I have already uninstalled (via windows-programs) and reinstalled al but that didnt work.

Does anyone has a solution for this ??

Thanks !!l

Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....
Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

If that does not help with your problem try deleting your preference folder/s...This will reset your configurations back to default and get rid of any corruption that may of happened...

Donot know if this works yet, the problem is that at home my internet explorere is not showing any page, it gives an error message as not connected to a server/no internet connection. Thing is my computer did download a Windows update..... hence the connection is okee.

The only thing I changed on my computer is the Java version. The most current one was installed and I unistalled it and installed an older version (1_5_0_11)

What can be the issue ?? Below the details as far as I know them.

Thanks
