Unable to delete old Shortcuts HELP!

hi I have some shortcut links from downloads I have deleted that come up when i search my hard drive they are cluttering things up. I have tried using cleaners, erasers, defragmenting and even some command prompt stuff(which is greek to me) and these old deleted files keep coming up! :bangh: Can someone tell me how to completely purge them?

Try rebooting in safe mode & see if the shortcuts delete.
Getting into Windows Safe Mode

Otherwise, try one of the tools here (I've used both Unlocker & DelinVfile).
Incomplete Download File won't delete at all.

Does your computer seem to be running normally? It might not be a bad idea to update your AV & scan your computer...just to make sure you haven't picked up some malware.
