I, too am having problems. Using Limewire on Vista Home Premium for months, no problem till now. Pretty much all the same as "gopitt32": Firewall allowing Limewire, 3GB Ram, upwards of 350 GB of space. It opens, says it's connected, but nothing comes when I do a search, AT ALL.
Very, very frustrating. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

gopitt32,

Using 2 software firewalls together can cause problems. It's better to choose 1 firewall, configure it to allow LW & turn the other firewall off.
Try deleting LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed (make sure it is closed). I don't have Vista, but this thread has info & screenshots to help with finding the preferences folder.
http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...der-vista.html
This will change all of your settings within LW's options, you'll have to go back through afterwards & reset things. If you're not sure of your LW settings, go to LW's tools > options & write things down first.

Remember that you have to show hidden files & folders before you can delete the preferences folder

NYPRBLUEZ,

Try all of these fixes (see above for deleting LW's preferences folder).
1. In LW go tools > options > searching > basic & check whether the 'show license warning' box is ticked. If it does, untick it > Apply > ok...see if that makes any difference.

2. Problems with the search

3. Delete LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed.

I don't get it - some days it works, some days it doesn't. Yesterday it did, today it doesn't.
Will try all of the above again.
Really appreciate the support, though - thanks.
