LW Wont load up (Not Stuck At 12%)
 

i have had trouble with my LW not loading, i have Clicked it and It wont load, i have deleted the pref. folder, and deleted the shared folder. i had LW up and running befor i was stuck at 12% and pasted that but now i am at the point where it wont even open !!! Help Please !! i am in bad need of LimeWire:mad2:

please if you Can help me out that would be great !

Try changing compatibility. Right click on the LW desktop icon > properties > compatibility. If you're using XP, try running in compatibility mode for Win 2000 or NT. If you're using Vista, try compatibility mode for XP:)

Which version of Java are you using? Try updating to the latest Java & see if that makes any diff. Download the JRE offline installer & remove any old Java versions before you install the new one.

I am Useing Vista and, if that helps any,

Could it be a Hardware issue? or no

Are you running as an administrator? If not, do that (right click on the LW icon & choose to run as admin).
Which version of LW was up & running, before you got stuck at 12%? Have you installed any other software since then?

Do you have AllChars installed? If you do, disable or remove AllChars & see how that goes.

Which version of LW are you using now? Go here & download an older version...see whether that loads without any problems.

If you're using 4.16 now, try a 4.14 from that site, or a 4.12. If you're using a 4.14, try a 4.12 or the latest 4.16 from the official site below.

Thank-you i have Fixed it, all that i had to do was install an older version of LW and its working Fine now :) :yahoo:
