LimeWire opening torrents

okay i usually use utorrent to download my torrents for movies. i installed limewire and it automaticaly made it my default torrent downloader even though i put the settings for it not to. i went back and changed the settings again but it still opens the torrents! I uninstalled limewire but it keeps asking for limewire! is it a windows vista problem and how do i stop it...i cant download torrents at all now. i can reinstall limewire if necessary.
