Hi,

wonder if someone can help pls?

I recently purchased Limewire Pro, installed it successfully but cannot search for any songs etc. I keep getting the message "please wait, limerwire must finish loading before a search can be started". I have loaded limewire, selected 'connect' but the bottom message bar keeps saying "loading messages", which has been going on for over an hour?

I'm using Vista & have Zonealarm as my firewall. (Have switched off but still no joy!). I have set the firewall to accept limewire, but this doesn't seem to help?

Any advice would be gladly received?

It Might be a Java issue.

Remove All Java versions installed (via Add/Remove Programs) before you install the latest Version. (Download the JRE Offline Installer)

I've uninstalled all versions of Java & Limewire. Ive downloaded the JRE Offline Installer & then Limewire again but it's still not working?? Keep getting the 'loading messages' displayed at the bottom of the screen??

Any other ideas?

That's definitely done something? I'm no longer getting the 'loading messages' displayed on the screen & now I can actually perform a search without getting the other message about having to be connected.

In the bottom left corner of Limewire I'm getting the message 'starting connection', this has been like this for 10-15 mins, with one green bar & 4 red. When I do a search I don't get any results. Is it waiting to connect 1st?

Should the limewire preferences folder be in the limewire directory? because unhidding folders didn't make it appear. And no one seemed to respond after someone else asked the same question.
