Contacting Limewire won't do any good as it is PestPatrol and the company that provides it, that is not willing to budge when dealing with this issue. Unlike what you seem to believe, this isn't some new phenomenon, but has been the case for years now. Solution is to dump PestPatrol and get a proper scanner that actually keeps you safe from real spyware. So how can you disable or uninstall it? That is the question you should be asking yourself. |
I can Uninstall it. Then what should I do for my spyware scan. |
Lord Of The Rings suggested other good free spyware scanners in one of the first posts in this thread. |
I've allready tried that spyware cleaner and didn't pick up the limewire. |
which means it works lol |
If all you want is to get rid of the folder erasing all traces of Limewire that isn't spyware in the first place, but PestPatrol has screwed up by removing necessary files needed to uninstall properly, then there are ways. First download unlocker and install it (let's just hope PestPatrol doesn't go after that as well) UNLOCKER 1.8.6 BY CEDRICK 'NITCH' COLLOMB Install it and then restart your PC. Now try to delete the folder. Unlocker will pop up asking if you need help. Choose to delete the folder. Alsoyou might find another limewire folder under programs and one in appdata. Don't know if PestPatrol has deleted them. Download and install CCleaner CCleaner - Home Run ccleaner and scan the registry. Then remove all references to Limewire. Restart and your computer should be "spyware free" |
Well it worked, did as you said and took it off. Thanks Sleepless. |
