hello
this is what happens...
normally when you download limewire and download files they should be placed in the folder named "shared" but with me when i close limwire theyre all gone and theyre not in the map "shared"
so my question is is how can i slove this im running vista its very weird.
my pc is new and i used it on my last pc running XP and there it did work please help me solve this im dutch please someone dutch help me

AS far as I know, I have not updated Lime Wire since I installed it. My version is 4.16.7 and I opened it yesterday and my library was gone. I had close to 800 downloads there. I am not a really technical person and I read Birdy's post but could not find the folder.... Can anyone help me?!?! AHHHHH

You have'nt lost your Files. They are on your HDD. Do a search of one of the files that you remember and see where they are located. Then you may have to point them to the new saved location in Birdy's Link so they will be in your LW Library.

My problem is similiar in that not only has my library vanished the library tab button is no longer on the browser you know the one right next to the search tab. I uninstalled and reinstalled limewire but the button isn't there it's completely missing in action. But when I reinstalled and downloaded some files that I previously had it limewire prompted me that said already exist when I went to the folder where the sshared folder was supposed to be there's nothing there. Help please!!!

HI there! I am at a loss! Literally!! I was in my library yesterday and all my d/l's were there!! Today they're gone! My library is empty! I think I may have clicked something that gave me the option to share or not, and I chose not too! Once that was done my library was gone!!! How do I get it back? i have read through some of the forums and tried the suggestions but I am not that computer literate and still need help!!! PLEASE AND THANK YOU!!!

I`m having the exact same problem as trewcrue. I downloaded the newest version of LW, and I chose not to share my folders (for some reason) and then BOOM all gone! My entire library of over 600 downloads gone! Please please help!

The exact same thing happened to me! I had a few hundred songs in my library....they're all gone! And a few days ago, i had downloaded some songs & I didn't have time to put them in a folder on my computer so I left them there....they've always waited there for me. But when I went a few days later, there gone!!

1. Check If you updated LimeWire & cannot find your Downloads

2. Go to your LimeWire Library window, click on Saved folder & press Explore button. Do the same with Shared. See if they are in the folders that open up on your desktop.
