![]() Hi all, I let my nephew use my computer and he installed Limewire on it. I don't use P2P software, and I wanted to unistall it. However, I used the Control Panel - uninstall software process and it did not remove all the Limewire components. I've got an Acer Aspire 5520, running Windows Vista (yuk) home Premium. When I search for Limewire in the Search - Files and Folders I get a list of 40 or so files. When I try to delete them one at a time, this dialouge box pops up: "the (location of file) folder does not exist. Do you want to create it?" I select no. Then nothing happens. I select all the files to delete, and it comes up with this: "Could not find this item (location of file). Verify the item's location and try again." I can't seem to figure out why my computer says there are Limewire files when there are not?!? Please help! |

![]() The files you are seeing that are left over are like a shell, the actual body of the program has been uninstalled... Use your computer's search to look for all files & folders with limewire in the name. If you can't delete them, reboot into safe mode & then try. If they still won't delete, try one of the tools here... Incomplete Download File won't delete at all.
