Tarzan is flying high
Default One Green Bar

Please Help
Since loading the new version of Lime Wire 4.18.6 (Java 1.6.0_04) on my new laptp I cant seem to get more than 1 green bar. The fire wall icon is visible next to it, I tried disabling them and i even tried adding limewire as a trusted site and still no luck. Don't know much about technical computer stuff?

1. OS version? eg: Windows 98, Windows Vista, I have Administrator user account.
2. What firewalls you have? Norton 360 and Trojan Hunter Guard- but iven when i turn both of them off the problem still exists.
3. How much ram? 2046
4. Hard Disk space available? 141 GB
5. Connection type? broadband
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Siemens Gigaset SE587 WLAN dsl
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? Home
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? LW 4.18.6 Java 1.6.0_04. _ Click to see Sample image
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Tiscali
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? Your Test Worked
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? No
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. First attempt using my new laptop HP Pavilion dv2500 Notebook
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface?Yes
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? I don't know
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Some people might not be aware that their security suite includes a firewall Norton 360 trial version and Trojan HUnter Guard but even when i disable them both still no luck.
16. What country are you living in? UK
17. Has anything in your setup changed recently? Have you updated your version of LW or Java? Have you added any new software or new hardware? Have you updated any software? Have you moved house, changed internet plan or ISP etc etc? Just changed the laptop, used to get no problem with my old lap top

Thanks

Default

I would give the tips in this Sticky a try first....

http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...t-connect.html

If none of them help, you might want to try Port Forwarding your modem/router...These are your instructions....

Port Forwarding for the Siemens GigasetSE587

Also Tiscali maybe contributing to your slow download speed...
