Unhappy Appdata folder saving problem!!

Guess this is my first post here so Hi! to everyone.

Right now I am downloading a torrent for *** 1. The whole size is around 8 gigs. My windows drive partition (C:, where LW is installed) is 25 GB. I have changed the save folder for all files to another partition which has got 70 GB of free space.

The problem is that LW is saving all the torrent files only to the windows drive partition in the appdata folder (in incomplete folder). This is eating up all of my space in that partition and I have just a 1 GB left in that partition. My guess is that first LW will save all files in appdata folder and when the download is complete, it'll move the files to the destination save folder.

Since I do not have space in that partition, I repeatedly get a "disk error" message for that download and I've to start all over again. Is there a way so that I change the folder where LW saves it's incomplete/temporary files other than the appdata folder (as the appdata folder is in a partition where I don't have much free space). I've tried starting the download again, loading defaults and again changing the save folder but it doesn't work. It keeps on saving files to incomplete folder in appdata folder (in windows partition, C: ).

How do I change it? My downloads keep failing because of this.

My system information is given below:

1. OS: Windows Vista Home Premium with adminstrator account. AMD Athlon X2 5000.

That's a terrible location to save files to. App Data is where your LW preferences are stored, along with other program preferences.

Go to LW's menu bar, Tools -> Options -> Downloads, & change location to save to. The incomplete folder will follow the download folder being within same parent directory or one above that. Wherever you change it to, ensure you have user permissions to write to that location.

If your options are not being saved after changes, set LW to run as Admin. Point #2 here: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...tml#post289927
