I've got several hundered songs in my iTunes library,so it's a pain to have to put them all back in there. I've downloaded the LimeWire basic, and and downloading iTunes 9.0.1 again, so I'll let you know how it goes when I finish.

Are you downloading basic 5.2.13 or the Beta (5.3.4)? If you're downloading the same basic version as your Pro version then chances are that you'll have the same problem. Those 2 links that I found suggest that it might be an iTunes 9 issue. You could see whether the latest LW Beta behaves any differently (if you don't mind using a Beta version). You can preserve your library when downgrading iTunes, the link about downgrading has some info. I've done it several times when switching back & forth between iTunes 6 & 7. So if it does turn out to be an iTunes issue, chances are that you can make the switch fairly painlessly.

But of course, it's up to you to choose whether you want to go down that road
