used Frostwire for a few years and decided to try Lime again. Overall I like it. I get good connections and search results. Problem is when I browse it freezes up. CPU can go as high as 99% and memory is better than 50%. Eventually it just freezes.
Limewire version 5.5.8. Java Version 6 update 19 (the latest) Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 Intel Core2 CPU [email protected] 2 GB RAM 32 bit OS Thanks for any help. Bill |

Thank you for the reply. Perhaps my experience will help as I seem to have it working now. I completely uninstalled Java, and this includes all 8 previous versions I had, dating back to update 2. I then used the OFFLINE installer for the latest JAVA 6, (which is update 19) and Limewire is now working fine. Previous to this, I had only used the online installer for the latest version.
