Save Directory - Still! Just purchased the pro version. I get a 'select another folder' error when attempting to use "c:\documents and settings\username\my documents\my music" as my save folder. I use XP Pro. I checked the attributes to the folder via Windows Explorer after doing this and the folder is read-only. No fix yet. I have to assume that this folder isn't really read-only and this is just an XP trick. Other programs like Winamp/Morpheus/MusicMatch can write to this folder just fine. I have to assume it's either LimeWire or the Sun JVM. Any answers would be greatly appreciated. I see there's 6 full-time people on staff. One of them can take a break from designing world-changing p2p protocols to fix this issue that everyone with XP has. ;) -Normal_Guy |
why don't you just set the folder to read/write access. that way you don't have to assume it's a XP trick. ;) mahalo |
Full control The folder is set to full control for all users in the 'security' tab. The 'general' tab shows 'read only' and cannot be reset. It changes back automatically for some reason. Other programs read/write to this folder absolutely fine, and I can do anything to files and subfolders as my logged on user. |
don't have XP sorry. mahaloa |
