filtering ip address

Is there a way to get limewire to filter a rand of IP addresses? For example, there are a number of users out there using NAT like 192.168.*.* anything within that ip range will never download. I tried entering 192.168. but result were still showing up with those ip's

is this possible?

I dunno about that..... I run LimeWire on a 192.168.* address, and people seem to have no problems downloading from me.....

Non-routable addresses

vastator: people have no problem downloading from you, because your Limewire is properly config'ed. However, if someone's Limewire is misconfigured and behind a firewall, they will advertise files to be downloaded that no one can fetch.

I've seen this quite often, and it's a real issue that clogs up the works. Limewire (and other gnutalla clients) should be programmed not to advertise files for non-routable address, such as:

192.168.*.*
172.16.*.* through 172.31.*.*
24.*.*.*
127.*.*.*
etc...

I don't know why you included 24.*.*.*? Do you want to cut the universities from gnutella?
