changing m3u extensions to .wav or .mp3 Help, when I download songs from LimeWire my computer saves the songs with an m3u file extension. How to I convert them into .wav or .mp3 file extensions? HELP!!!!!!?? |
Lynn, M3U files are no soundfiles. M3U files are playlists many audioplayer like Winamp use for managing a big amount of mp3 audio files. It only contains information like the file name and the physical path, so no audio information. If you wanna download songs try to download them with the extension .mp3 |
Hi, I guess I just can't figure out how to download the songs and then give them the mp3 extension. can you explain how? Anyways, I download the songs from limewire and then yes they do play with the winamp player. i try to save them from the winamp player and that is when the computer gives it the m3u extension. where do i and how do i save the songs to give them the mp3 extension? |
MP3's Rule :p First, in winamp, to play the song, its already been d/l'd to your hdd. After you select download from limewire ... look to your default save directory (tools > options > saving (top of left column)). Open that directory and there are the mp3's that you've downloaded. when you try to "save" a file from winamp ... it doesn't save it as a mp3 ... its trying to save a playlist. Basically .... dont save from winamp. Have you considered music match jukebox v. 7.1 I like it a lot better ... however, again ... personal preference. |
