Question Technical Stuff, RWIN & MTU settings

Hi all,

This a Win XP type of question for the programmer GURUs.

Are there any optimal settings for packet size (MTU) or receive buffer size (RWIN) for a DSL ethernet card type connection to make it more Limewire friendly?

Hi, Ken...

Very briefly, as I am sure that you will be receiving many more responses...

try www.pcpitstop.com

I appreciate that at first sight this may seem a bit of a 'primitive' suggestion, but you will find the answers there... Possibly after a bit of a dig...

(If this is a site with which you are already familiar, apologies... I did not intend to imply that you necessarily required a so-called 'newbies' reply !!!)

Yes, BUT...

Be certain to SAVE your previous settings and do not automatically trust what DRTCP either recommends or alters for your settings.
You may need to experiment many times before you find the optimum settings for 'your' machine.
