bug ? links don't work... ?

Hi
I tried to install Limewire from the sources.
everything works fine except there are no webpages links working
(logo link, menu links to web pages...)
When I click on a link,no web page is launched.
- I have installed the latest build from limewire.org
- I'm on win98
- I use JDK 1.4.0
- there are no exceptions messages in the dos box
- when I use the compiled version, it's ok.

Has someone an idea ? are the sources bugged ?

Thanks in advance.

well ... I'm lost

My version of limewire didn't come with links to webpages ... I feel jiped :p

If you could, explain yourself, for those weak minded souls (such as myself), a bit more thourghly please.

I seriously doubt that the sources are bugged. Have you tried compiling them in a different compiler, there are differences you know.

Well, I use the recommended compiler, that is ant, by simply running the 'compiler.bat' given file...
It's ant 1.4.1, which uses javac I think, so it's the latest version available...
There's no error at compilation, no error when launching, no exception thrown, and even no messages at all, even when running in verbose mode.

All the items in the Help Menu, which should link to web pages, don't work, as well as the items in the Ressources Menu.

I tried to look at the code, but I really don't understand why it doesn't work. This 'web page launch feature' seems to be a complex one, with a home made launcher class plus calls to c++ libraries, and it's a bit hard for me to understand the whole process so hard to see where is the issue..

I precise that it occurs before touching anything to the source code.

What do u think about that ?
