-=limewire 2.3.1 --wont Uninstall! Help!
 

Hi all. I installed Limewire 2.3.1 awhile ago and today I decided not to use it anymore. So I went to the add/remove programs icon to uninstall it. I clicked on the remove button and it looked like it was going to uninstall it, a small window popped up and it says that "Window is preparing a setup to uninstall...etc.etc.." Then afterwards the window disappears and NO UNINSTALLATION progress was made after that. And the icon of Limewire still exists including its ads and everything else. Please help me. Please reply back with information as accurate as possible. Thanks.

If it will not uninstall and you want to reclaim your disk space delete the following directory
C:\program files\limewire

There will be some residue in your registry but this is very minor and will not take up any significant resources. You will also want to delete and shortcuts that may be on your desktop.

As always - be careful and look twice before commiting to the deletion. ;)

BTW: deleting C:\Program Files\LimeWire will most likely delete anything you've downloaded with LimeWire, so you may want to remove anything here that you want to keep.
