Why does Limewire shut down, when I run a fullscreen program at the same time?

Why does Limewire shut down, when I run a fullscreen program at the same time, e.g. a game?

I would like to download in the background while playing.

I use version 2.4.4 and 2.5.3beta.

I don't know how that could happen. Try bringing up the task list (ctrl+alt+del) to see if the process is still running after you executed the fullscreen application.

Unexpected LimeWire shutdowns

I used to have the problem on my Win2000 systems that LimeWire would shut down when I switched to another program - poof - LimeWire was gone!

The problem has gone away since I upgraded to Java 1.4 and Limewire 2.6.3 BTW, I use LimeWire Pro.
