Do Not Download This Program

well done lime wire on creating a program with so much advertising software it destroys a succsessful companies computer.
When downloading this program in good faith it put so much bull **** on, that when we tried to delete it all out (the software still leaves files behinmd even with windows uninstall) we lost vital pieces of windows, i might add putting us behind a week in our strict schedual.
If it were not for the fact this is free software we would be considering stern legal action.

Same thing happened with our company, we consulted legal advice and decided to let the case rest. One day these people will do it to the wrong large organisation.......

I'm sorry you had a bad experience using LimeWire. I recommend that you take care when removing components manually. The LimeWire uninstaller will never remove components necessary for Windows to run.

This is a new one, a destroyed computer? And the good folks at LimeWire didn't do anything wrong. There may have been a conflict between your computer and Sun's Java, or the uninstaller had an error, but, tell me who installed the program in the first place. I'm sure it didn't install itself, so who?

If you post a question, you'll probably get an answer.
If you post a flame, there's only one thing you'll get back . . .

Just incredible.... so what was the purpose for installing Limewire on your company's computers in the first place? Just curious.

spend the money and get the the commercial free LimeWire...
I removed the old versions of LimeWire w/o any trouble and I am far from a computer genius.
Go else where, leave us alone.
Your shared songs probably suck anyway!

LMAO

LMFAO ... what a crock of poop. Limewire destroyed "we lost vital pieces of windows" ... well, if you had the remotest clue at to what you were doing ... I dont think that would have happened. In the business its call an ID-10T ERROR (idiot error) ... :p

Plus if it was so viatal ... why didn't you have a backup? If YOU lost it w/o a backup ... its no fault but your own.

Hello!

Am I getting paranoid or is this person maybe trying to scare people of downloading a program in this case LimeWire 2.5.3 to get involved in the p2p community?.

Somehow it does not sound credible.Someone from a company and yeat does not use even a nickname and also claiming that LimeWire has so much adware it destroyed his/hers computer upon removal.I dont think so!.Maybe a RIAA representative?:p

If a computer breaks it is usually the result of neccessary system software components that gets deleted.Other culprits are corrupted HD directory.Companys should always have back ups and also have a technician that checks up the computers and if neccessary run disk utilitys when a corrupted HD is detected or perform other neccessary maintenance.

An advice never delete anything unless you are 100% sure of what you are doing. The broken Windows was the result of your own incompetense and not LimeWire!

yea i do not even know how this c*** got on my computer either so it did not even come with a uninstaller i hope they pass a law to keep people like limewire from putting software on your computer without you even knowing it. did not even know it tell i started having problems with my computer and did some researching and found it on my computer so if anyone can tell me where to get a uninstaller i would appreciate it they have all kinds of installers but no un installers

i would strongly suggest not putting this spyware on your computer
