fury with downloading
 

Help! I have had no problem downloading on my MAC but no luck what so ever diwnloading in my PC. running windows 98, verysion 2.
When I try to download I usually get cut off more than once in each down load.
Just today I managed to complete a download and then could not find the sit file it came as and when I did, could not open it and just deeted all of it and started from the begionning. Again no success. Retry dows not work. force restart do not work. 0kbs common message. cannot change have to delete and start again.
ALSO the little restore icon on tool bar (in lower right hand corner) just crashes the computer "illegal action) (you know the one) have to restart.
Can anyone help me by telling me what I am doing wrong and the workaround that is necessary thank you
