shuts down
 

hello, i have limewire 2.6.5 and everytime i open it, whether i am downloading or not, it automatically closes which is very inconvienient when you are downloading a file... it just recently started doing this and i know it is not because of any programs i have running , because it does it even when there are no other ones running... please give me some advice as to how to fix this problem... it isn't just the connection i lose... but i mean, the whole thing just closes like it would if i clicked the "X" and told it to exit in my toolbar.... it isnt there at all..

A good first step is to run a virus checker over your system.

After that - uninstall limewire.

Download the latest JRE (the link is on the LimeWire download page).

Install the above.

Download the current LimeWire release.

Install it.

This is likely to fix the problems you are having.
