2.8.x

What is supposed to be Improved?

Uploads/Downloads 98 kb's at a time? What's this about?

If you're bandwidth limited like me, and you have to Limit the number of uploads. Well forget it, this new "feature" allows someone else to connect before others finish.

Don't hit the "Clear Inactive" button either. It cancels in process uploads, but the new version see's them as completed because of this 98 kb at a time bs. Then someone else connects, leaving the other person with an Incomplete download.

Forget complete albums or mpg's way to large. With the new version allowing more uploads than you have set as your Maximum. Huge files will take for friggen ever.

I don't know what they're calling this new "technology".
But it is Garbage!

Reinstalling 2.7.13. Have a nice day.

That's not true. Even though you download only chunks, LimeWire keeps the tcp connection for the download established, so you will not be left with an incomplete file.

I noticed that, but it only happens rarely, so the problem is just a minor bug.

That's why you aren't a developer.

Where you download from more than one person?

Swarm downloads are only good if the chunks are complete
and lined up. Great I want more Low Quality mp3's full
of skips

At least 8 times, today allone. People have been cut-off and unable to reconnect. Mainly because someone else cut in line.
If they Cancelled, It did'nt show it as an "Upload Interrupted".

BS, Try downloading a 89mb file at 5kb/s. Rarely? Happens all the time. Maybe I have MP3's people want.

That's why you aren't a developer.

Does'nt take a developer to Identify an inferior product.
If your downloading from one person, the little chunks make the download take longer.

I Paid for this, most likely never again.

Ok, I can see certain advantages to the newer versions.

But in Future Versions, is it possible to add a "Enable File Size as Chunk size feature"?????

That way we could turn this on or off depending on the circumstances.
