Bug in 2.9.8 slots not released

I have my settings so, that i clear the inactive in upload window manually. I have noticed that after a while slots are not released after uploader so that the uploader occupies slots all the time even if the upload is done.

This occurs only then the uploader is a higher Limewire client say from 2.9.6 and up. this should be fixed. Also i cant kill or clear the slotholder.

Yes, that's a GUI bug, some uploaders die without being removed from the GUI. In that case they can't be removed from the GUI manually anymore.

able to post on the gui list some details of how this happens, trap_jaw? i personally haven't noticed it. thanks.

No, I couldn't really locate the bug yet cause LimeWire's upload code is not really very easy to read.

It seems to happen frequently, every couple of hours or so. I'm not sure when I saw it for the first time, but I think the bug has been there for at least half a year or so.

The uploads stall either in queued or uploading state. The core however doesn't count them as active downloads anymore. I'm not really sure the root of the problem is in the GUI, however. Maybe there are some weird cases were the uploader's state will not be sent to 'INTERRUPTED' or 'COMPLETE' by the core, when finishing.

true -- atleast it's easier than the downloading code. :) ... the main thing is that it works (and fairly well, too). there's some improvements on an older branch, but we're waiting to put them in, just so no unexpected problems crop up with areas that are currently functional.

guess we'll come back to this one once things are stabilized a bit. thanks.
